Yogyakarta — The Accounting Department of the Faculty of Economics and Business, UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, held a Practitioner Lecture themed “Transfer Pricing in the Mining Sector: Documentation and Analytical Challenges” on Saturday, September 28, 2024. The event was conducted online via Zoom and featured tax practitioners from MUC Consulting, a leading tax consulting firm in Indonesia.

The session featured two main speakers, Meiliana, S.I.A., and Rama Ames Remonda, S.I.A., APCTP., both Transfer Pricing Managers at MUC Consulting. They provided an in-depth discussion on the unique complexities of transfer pricing practices in the mining industry, covering topics such as local and master file documentation, fair pricing methods, and implementation challenges under the Directorate General of Taxes Regulation No. PER-22/PJ/2013 and recent OECD Guidelines.

The event was moderated by Marita, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA., a senior accounting lecturer at UPNVYK. The lecture was highly interactive, attracting enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and tax enthusiasts from various institutions.

This Practitioner Lecture is part of the department’s strategic initiative to bridge the gap between academic theory and professional practice. By engaging industry experts, students not only gain a normative understanding of regulations but also valuable insights into their practical applications.
